The Angel Foundation is based here in San Antonio and has been helping orphans since Hurricane Katrina. Sixty-five medical professionals are currently involved in the program to assist orphans in Haiti.
"We are independently supporting an orphanage in Haiti called H.C.R.M. (Haiti Children Rescue Mission)," said Shannon Ralston, the owner of Angel Staffing.
She is a nurse who was inspired by the Haiti earthquake tragedy. Ralston is 38 and is on a mission to change the lives of Haitian orphans.
"This is only one of 300 licensed orphanages in Port-au-Prince," Ralston said.
Every ten to 14 days, two new nurses go down to Haiti to relieve the other nurses working there.
"There are at least 60 children coming into San Antonio through these means," Ralston said. She helps families adopt here at home.
